JMB Investigations had a large Microsoft Access database which ran their business. From the beginning of a case to its closure, through to invoicing and chasing; the Access system provided a bespoke management system for their company. However, the Access database wasn't without problems:
- Tables became too large causing corruption.
- Queries were slow and inaccurate.
- Third party Access components were becoming out-of-date.
- The database was incompatible with newer versions of Access.
- JMB required more functionality.
The Solution:
Working closely with JMB Investigations, RatwareUK re-developed a bespoke database consisting of a frontend / SQL Server application that can be used on any Windows operating system, completely independently without the limitations of Access and without the requirement for licensing.
Image quality has been reduced to protect confidentiality.
This version was faster, more stable, cheaper and contained the specific new functionality that JMB requested. Branding and a streamlined interface also makes the whole environment very user-friendly.
